Autumn fades through November, wrapping us in a grey shawl of mists and dark nights. But "Fear not November's challenge bold" as, according to Alexander L. Fraser (1870–1954), "We've books and friends". So, shake off that dense veil of fog and immerse yourself in a good book to brighten your day.

Our Mission

By their lives the Sisters witness the words of Jesus, "Whatever you do to the least of my people, you do to me." St. Mary Mazzarello said, "Joy is the sign of a heart that loves the Lord!" Her Sisters live by this motto today.

Worldwide, there are 11,532 Salesian Sisters, and 309 Novices in training. Our Congregation is living and working in 26 nations in Africa; 23 nations in America; 22 nations in Asia; 22 nations in Europe; and 4 nations in Oceania.

About The Salesian Sisters

In 1872 the first group of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (Salesian Sisters) made their profession in the Congregation founded by St. John Bosco and St. Mary Mazzarello. Both founders shared a dream to work for the good of young people and lead them to God.

Don Bosco wanted the Sisters to be a living sign of his gratitude to God for all that he had led him to be and do in his life. Our Lady continues to guide her Sisters today.
