Outstanding Youth Awards' for two Salesian students

Congratulations to two students from St John Bosco College Battersea, who were presented with awards at Wandsworth Council's Outstanding Youth Awards ceremony on Wednesday 30th April.
Conor was given a commendation, and Shannon received the Rotary Award for Community Service. The are pictured with the Mayor.

Easterhouse Cooperators supporting Salesian works in Africa

The Salesian Cooperators from St John Bosco Parish, Easterhouse, have organised a coffee morning to support two mission projects in Africa. The event takes place in St Benedict's Church Hall, on Saturday 11th May between 10.30am and 2pm.

Our Provincial Chapter was held from 23 - 26 April 2019, at the Royal Foundation of St Katherine, at Limehouse, London. The meetings explored aspects of the theme of General Chapter 28, to be held in Rome next year. Members of the Province of St Thomas of Canterbury gathered on Tuesday 23rd April for the Province Chapter, held at the Royal Foundation of St Katharine at Limehouse, London. The gathering opened with a time of prayer, reflection and adoration.

Young Adults spend reflective Triduum at Savio House

The Young Adults Retreat at Savio House offered a time of quiet and reflection druing the Easter Triduum, as well as a chance to come together, rekindling old friendships and making new ones.

Work begins on Thornleigh chapel

This week, essential work to renovate Thornleigh chapel began.
The chapel, built in the 1950s, is used for school and youth ministry events, and has been the venue for several ordinations. It will be out of use for several months, which new heating and electrical systems are installed, and other restoration work and minor alterations are carried out, to bring the building up to date.
