On Wednesday July 10th 2019, Year 10s attended a Talk For Change in the new St Patrick's Exam Hall at Guildford Road, Chertsey. The key speakers from the Mizen Foundation were none other than Margaret Mizen and her son Danny Mizen, the mother and brother of murdered teenager Jimmy Mizen who was killed in 2008.

A joyful Mass was held at Thornleigh Salesian College this week, to celebrate and give thanks for a combined century of service to Catholic education, from Headteacher Alison Burrowes, together with Deborah Moss, Maria Pawlowski and John Corrigan. On Wednesday June 19th, a group of six pupils from Year 7 were driven by minibus to represent Salesian School Chertsey at the annual Good Shepherd Celebration in Worth Abbey. SJBC's former Head of RE ordained priest

Everyone at St John Bosco College Battersea was immensely proud this weekend, when Paul Spellman, formerly Head of Religious Education, was one of five men ordained priest on Saturday July 6 in St John's Cathedral, Norwich. In its 43 year history, the Diocese of East Anglia has never ordained so many on the same day.

Four students from Savio Salesian College, Bootle, spent last week on a Trainee Detective course, provided by an educational initiative jointly funded by Merseyside Police and Everton in the Community (EitC), the official charity of Everton Football Club.
