Each weekend in Eastertide, the Battersea community is producing three short meditations on the Via Lucis, the way of light, published on their 'Parish Priest' Facebook profile.

The Via Lucis takes 14 stages in the story of the risen Jesus, ending at the feast of Pentecost, and traces how we deal with good news and recognise the presence of the risen Jesus in our own lives.

Student's winning photo is a symbol of kindness

Year 8 students at St John Bosco Arts College, Croxteth were set a challenge this week to take a photograph that showed 'Kindness'. The response was excellent, with many submissions for the staff to choose from. The winning photo was this one by Lizzie Fitzsimmons.

SJBA staff said it was 'a wonderful shot showing us that the simple things really are the best'. Well done, Lizzie!
