We had a very useful National Council meeting at Bootle on Sunday 22nd February 2004. Having been successful with our 2003 project to provide funds of £5,000 for a water tank to collect clean water for the Salesian Polytechnic in Monrovia, Liberia, we decided to be a little more ambitious for our 2004 mission project.

On Thursday 19th February, at St Matthews Church, High Street, Yiewsley (Near Uxbridge), there was a Memorial Service for Pete Tohill, a Shrigley past pupil, who died on 29th January aged 44.

National Council Meeting at Battersea

 

Patrick Morrissey, National President, was delighted to be able to welcome the School Captain and Vice-Captain to the meeting. This was made possible by Nicholas Potter, Battersea President, who arranged for these two young people to join our meeting, something he has been encouraging for some time now.
