For the third year running now, Blaisdon Past Pupils, who were also Past Pupils of the Crusade of Rescue Homes were invited to this annual Mass for the Benefactors of the Catholic Children's Society (Westminster) held on Sunday 27 November 2005.

On Saturday, 12th November, at 2pm there was a Mass in memory of Fr Pat Kenna RIP in Westminster Cathedral arranged by the Pelliccia family. The Mass took place in the Lady Chapel.

On Friday October 28th 2005 Ina Coles made her final vows as a VDB (Volunteer of Don Bosco), after six and a half years of temporary profession. The ceremony took place in the chapel of the Kiltegan Fathers (Missionaries of St Patrick) in Molesey, Surrey (Ina's home parish).

I am just back from the Cowley AGM. It was a most enjoyable day at the Four Pillars Hotel at Sandford on Thames. Mass was celebrated at the Cowley Salesian Parish Church by Father Peter Quinn SDB with Father Joe Merriman SDB concelebrating.

On the evening of 15th September 2005, 18 FMA provincials from Europe who are currently visiting Israel paid a short visit to our Ratisbonne community. New challenge for Fr Preston

New challenge for Fr Preston

Fr Francis Preston, who was Provincial of the GBR (British) province from 1998 until 2004, is now in Jerusalem, to take his post as Rector of the Ratisbonne Salesian Theological Institute. Before he left the UK he had a 'Last Supper' with the community at our Provincial House in Stockport.

Fr Francis has sent us a report with his first impressions on arrival.
