Concert for Haiti

Donations continue to arrive for the Salesian relief work in Haiti. Some are from individuals, but several schools have organised special events to raise funds. Fr James McGarry SDB, Parish Priest of St Clare's Parish in Easterhouse, Glasgow, sent the following report on 2nd March 2010.

About 60 people gathered for a memorial Mass for Brother John O'Kane RIP on Saturday 21st February in St Benedict's Church, Easterhouse, Glasgow.

Salesian Family Study Days

Ready for Action

Thornleigh Pupil in Downing Street

Zoe Cook, a pupil from the Fairtrade Group at Thornleigh Salesian College Bolton, was invited to Number Ten Downing Street to help celebrate the fifteenth year of the Fairtrade logo. Zoe was asked because she is also fifteen years old and the event was a reminder of those very important years of development for Zoe and for the Fairtrade Foundation.
