Last Friday, a group of 8 representatives from the Thornleigh Student Council went to Savio House in Bollington for a leadership weekend. Present at the event were representatives from the six Salesian schools in England.

From 10th to 12th April 2011 there was a meeting in Rome for those organising volunteers to work overseas in a Salesian missionary spirit. There were representatives from Australia, Austria, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Ireland, Poland and the USA.

Salesians Interning for Youth Dignity with Million Minutes

Christine Sterlini and Chris Knowles are currently interning for a new Catholic Charity devoted to hearing the voice of young people. Million Minutes launched on Don Bosco day this year and so far has 385,920 pounds (and minutes of silence) pledged to go into funding projects to help empower young people.

BEST DAY EVER FOR BATTERSEA OLD SALESIANS FC

 

On Saturday, 19th March 2011, the Battersea OSFC 1st XI won the AFA Surrey/Kent Senior Cup Final.

Also the 3rd XI won the AFA Junior Cup Final - the most successful day in the Club's history.
