Youth Ministry Weekend - "I am the Good Shepherd"

The first weekend of March saw small teams involved in the Youth Ministry come together to continue planning for the projects that are happening in the next year. The weekend was also for looking at the Strenna for 2012, "I am the good shepherd: The good shepherd lays down his life for his sleep."

Salesians At Home Come Dine With Me Evening March 3rd

After working hard on Parish Reflection evenings and Fun Events for the children of the parish here is Croxteth the group decided to invest in some quality time together.
As the pictures show the various group members were well able to bring together a great selection of dishes on a Mexican theme. Great fun and much laughter was shared.

Don Bosco Day in Cebu

Today, 31st January, the church celebrates the feast of St John Bosco. We, on the other hand, have already been celebrating this feast for nearly a week. Lessons ended on Wednesday to be followed by three days of events and activities with the students, Sunday was family day, and yesterday the whole staff headed to the beach to swim in the sea, eat (a lot) and play mad games. Salesian Study Days 2012

Salesian Study Days took place in January at Chertsey, Bolton and Easterhouse. It was the start of a three year build up to the 200th Anniversary of the Birth of Don Bosco on 16th Aug 1815. These days were well attended and the talks were challenging and entertaining. the theme was "Finding God in the City". India Night at Chertsey

On the feast of St Patrick (17th March), there was a slightly different celebration at Salesian School, Chertsey. The pupils who had visited India last year, together with Pippa Carr, organised an Indian themed evening to raise money for the Ashalayam - the Street Children Project run by the Salesians of Kolkata.

On Sunday 29th January 2012, the OSFC/OSSC and OSPFE celebrated Mass in the Clubhouse at Ewell in honour of our Patron Saint.
