For 3 days, Salesian Youth Ministry, helped give St John Bosco Arts College in Croxteth, a little slice of Salesian Spirituality.

St. John Bosco College which is currently decanted to Wimbledon promotes the needs of the girls in Y9/10 by offering a short retreat at Worth Abbey. The girls join in the Benedictine Monks rhythm of prayer and have a programme of activity and reflection to help them deepened their understanding about themselves on every level.

Today, 29th May, Salesians are celebrating the feast of Blessed Joseph Kowalski.

Early life


Joseph Kowalski was born at Siedliska near Rzeszów, in Poland, on the 13th March 1911, to Wojciech and Zofia Borowiec, the seventh of nine children. His parents, practising Catholics, were farmers and owners of a modest farm.
