On Saturday 22nd November eleven of us gathered together at Savio House for a day of Salesian Spirituality on the life of Mama Margaret.

VIDES - Give Thanks With a Grateful Heart

On Saturday 29th November VIDES celebrated 25 years in the UK.
The day began with a wonderful celebration of Mass in St. James', Bootle where VIDES held a camp for 5 years. The Mass was celebrated by Frs. Gerry O'Shaughnessy and Michael Winstanley. As is traditional for Youth Ministry, on the first weekend of November, volunteers of Youth Ministry were invited to gather together at Savio House, to celebrate and evaluate the past year in Youth Ministry by Sue McDonald.

Chaplaincy Meeting

After all of the excitement of the Youth Ministry meeting, things were calmer for the Chaplaincy meeting on Sunday 9th and Monday 10th at the Royal Foundation of St Katharine's in London.
Sue McDonald invited chaplains from Salesian schools as well as other chaplains that have Salesian connections. Sunday evening was a relaxed evening with prayer and introductions for the 11 Chaplains.

Artemide Zatti was born in Boretto (Reggio Emilia) on 12th October 1880. He experienced difficulties and sacrifices from an early date. As part of the FMA General Chapter, the Delegates had an audience with the Holy Father. Without doubt a wonderfully blessed experience for all, especially the British Delegates, Sr Connie (Provincial) and Sr Pat.
EXPO ESSENCE IN NEWCASTLE

The Bi-Centenary EXPO arrived at St Mary's Cathedral, Sunday 26th October, after travelling from Glasgow.
Over 600 people attended the three Sunday Masses - one of which was presided over by the Provincial, Fr Martin Coyle SDB - he also preached at the Masses. Michael Rua was born on 9th June 1837, the last of nine children. He entered Don Bosco's Oratory in 1852. One day Don Bosco told him: "We two will go halves in everything".
