Salesian preparation for World Youth Day 2016

The weekend of 15-17th April was the preparation meeting for the Salesian pilgrimage to Krakow for World Youth Day this year. We gathered together 15 of the 18 pilgrims at Savio House. They travelled from Liverpool, Manchester, Bolton, London and Falmouth to meet each other, learn about WYD and prep the timetable. Holocaust remembered at Salesian College, Farnborough

On Thursday 21st April, Year 9 boys from Salesian College Farnborough took part in a day retreat on the theme of the Holocaust and heard the testimony of a Holocaust survivor.
After an opening liturgy in the College Chapel, the 100 boys were divided into 6 groups and spent the morning in workshops, helping them to prepare for the afternoon's speaker.

This weekend (22nd-24th April 2016) myself and four other Salesian volunteers, Rachel Cortes, Sue McDonald, Jessica Wilkinson and Danny Sweeney, had the privilege of facilitating the Ignite stream of 'Celebrate', the Catholic Charismatic Conference. Salesian Sisters explore 'vocation culture' in Bratislava

The yearly meeting of the FMA inter-provincial conference for part of Europe and the Middle East took place in the beautiful city of Bratislava.
The chosen theme for reflection and discussion was Vocations Culture. Present with the provincials were delegates who have an interest and experience of this topic.
