URSpace takes retreats out to Carfin National Shrine

The URSpace team has had a busy week delivering retreats for S2 students from John Paul Academy, Glasgow at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes, Carfin, every day this week.

Animators shared prayer and BBQ in Bootle

Last week a number of Salesian Animators and Volunteers met together for a relaxed evening at St James'. We started with evening prayers and a short reflection, which was then followed by the BBQ in the garden and nibbles in the community room.

Good Friday workshop for children in Battersea

Fr Gerry O'Shaughnessy SDB and the team from Sacred Heart Parish Battersea joined with Canon Simon Butler of St Mary's C of E Parish, to lead their shared Good Friday Children's Workshop and Worship. SDBs gathered in Bolton last weekend to celebrate the 80th birthday of Fr Joe Brown SDB.
Fr Joe had celebrated with his community of St Joesph's on the big day itself, and at the weekend, he was joined by more confreres who shared a wonderful meal, many memories and funny stories and a splendid cake. Fr Joe also led the community singing!
