Dear Past Pupils, Friends of Don Bosco and members of the Salesian Family,

The World Confederation of Past Pupils of Don Bosco joins the entire Salesian Family in expressing our heartfelt gratitude to Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, SDB, as he concludes his term as Rector Major of the Salesian Congregation today. We are incredibly thankful for the inspiration, leadership, and guidance Don Ángel has provided over the years.

Throughout his time as our leader, he was a true father figure, never shying away from making the tough decisions that ensured the continued growth and mission of the Salesian Family in serving the young. His wisdom, honesty, and integrity have been a spiritual compass for us all. He constantly encouraged us with his energy and drive, reminding us to stay faithful to our vocation as sons of Don Bosco.

On this special day, we wish Don Ángel all the best as he embarks on his new mission to serve the universal Church, guided by our beloved Pope Francis. Please know, Don Ángel, that as you step into this new role, our thoughts and prayers will always be with you. Thank you for everything, and we wish you every success in your future service to the Church.
