An update from the Salesian Co-operators Provincial Council
Posted: Fri, 7 Jun 2024 08:57
Earlier this year the council met to discern the way forward and key priorities for their term of office. We hope to begin this new term with a time of listening. As we continue to recover from the effects of the pandemic we hope to reconnect and move forward in a synodal way with a renewed sense of mission leading up to our 150-year celebration of the founding of the Salesian Cooperators by Don Bosco.
Vision Statement
We have identified the following 3 key priorities for our association:
Membership: It is our membership of this family that gives us strength. Therefore, as a priority, we look to strengthen the sense of membership to the association, both locally and at a provincial level, through improved channels of communication and listening.
Salesian Joy: Nurturing our vocation of joy as Salesians in the world through a structured programme of formation events/opportunities.
Mission: Remaining faithful to the spirit of Don Bosco's dream, which is also our dream, we seek new ways to be signs and bearers of God's love to the young.
We have already put in place plans for three formation gatherings taking place across the province over the next 18 months. More information about these will follow soon. Information will be communicated via email to centres, social media, our website (https://salesiancooperators.uk) as well as Rua Link. If you are a detached Co-operator, and would like to be kept informed directly with further updates from the Council, please email info@salesiancooperators.uk with your most up to date contact details.
