As the Half-Term holiday nears its end, we thought it would be a great time to see what has been going on with them.
Students at Thornleigh Salesian College, Bolton have been to Turin to visit the Holy places of St John Bosco, St Dominic Savio, St Mary Mazzarello and Mary, Help of Christians. Despite the rain at the beginning of their trip, the students focused on Don Bosco's dream at nine years old. There was also a visit to see the shroud of Turin.
At The Salesian Academy of St John Bosco, for the feast of Mary, Help of Christians, Mass was celebrated for the Students that wished to join, and in the evening, altar servers from the parish of St James', Bootle, went to Southport to go Bowling.
Not too far away in St John Bosco Arts College, the students in Years 11 and 13 celebrated their leavers Mass on the feast of Mary, Help of Christians, as they prepare for their summer exams.
At Salesian School, Chertsey, they also took the opportunity to celebrate with their students that are going on study leave. The year 13 students that are leaving celebrated Mass before being treated to a Barbecue, in the typical British sunshine...
Over in Farnborough, year 7 students went on a retreat day to Braywick Nature Reserve to take part in Outdoor Teambuilding activities.
And across in Battersea, students celebrated Mass for the Feast of Mary, Help of Christians. Fr David O'Malley SDB preached to the students reminding them that we are never alone as our heavenly Mother is always with us.
