July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Religious of the Diocese of Salford meeting

On Saturday, Fr Ste, Br John Bunmee, Br Mario and Fr Gerry O joined Religious of the Diocese of Salford at the Little Sisters of the Poor in Plymouth Grove.

Fr Gerry has recently been appointed a Vicar for Religious for the Salford Diocese. Together with a Franciscan, Sr Joan and Fr Rob SMA, he organised a day of recollection.

The day was led by a Sister of Sion, Sr Teresa: she helped us to appreciate the beauty of the earth in this Season of Creation.
We shared Eucharist together followed by a simple lunch.
Time was available for prayer and reflection.
We are blessed to have so many Religious sisters, brothers and priests working in the Diocese.

The schools, medical care, social work, and youth work of Salford Diocese were founded by generous men and women who brought their charism and spirituality to this area.
Fr Gerry and Fr Michael Winstanley will be representing the Religious of the Diocese at the upcoming Salford Synod.
