Past pupil of The Salesian Academy of St John Bosco, Alex Greenwood, recently captained the Lionesses against their recent match against Italy. This was the Lionesses third match in the 'Arnold Clark cup', an invitational competition, which was contested by England, Italy, Belgium and South Korea.

England went onto win 2-1 in a hard fought match, before defeating Belgium in the final match, 6-1, which led them to winning the competition.

This is not Alex's first success with the Lionesses, she was also part of the squad that beat Germany in the UEFA Women's 2022 Euro final.

Alex also plays for Manchester City W.F.C and has made 75 appearances for them, scoring 4 goals.
