July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Salesian students' Duke of Edinburgh Award achievements

Our schools are very proud of the achievements of students taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. Several students at St John Bosco College Battersea received their Bronze awards this week, and Salesian School Chertsey is delighted that during the lockdown period, their students have clocked up more than 1500 hours of community service volunteering towards their awards.

The Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme aims to help young people learn and develop valuable skills and build their confidence, and programmes cover four areas: Volunteering, Physical, Skills and Expedition.
