July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Thoughts for Lent from Salesian Brothers - New beginnings

The Salesian Brothers of the Battersea community are offering a thought for each week of Lent to the students of St John Bosco College (SJBC) in a series of short videos, released from this week.

Battersea is the home of the Province's formation community, where young Salesians from all over the world continue their studies and work in the school and parishes, animated and supported by their Salesian confreres.

SJBC Chaplain Fr Saju John SDB has created the series of six short videos, each featuring one of the Brothers, which are being published by the school on YouTube during Lent. In the first video, Deacon Br Gregory Echegwo SDB, reminds students that Lent is a time of new beginnings, and that God is always with us to help us find a way to start afresh.
