The Salesians and staff at St Joseph's Bolton celebrated the 90th birthday of Fr Harry O'Brien SDB last week.

Although the other part of the Thornleigh community was unable to join them in person, due to COVID restrictions, a very good time was had, with an Irish-themed cake specially made for him, and plenty of jollity.

Fr Harry among the first Salesians from our Province to travel to Liberia where he contributed to the development of the mission in the dangerous times of civil war, and served as parish priest.
