July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Salesian Cooperators meet again in Bootle

Way back in February a new group was formed in St James' parish, Bootle, to journey towards becoming Salesian Cooperators. Unfortunately, only one meeting was held before the lockdown and Covid-19 took hold. The date set for making promises to the Association came and went.

Now, 7 months later, we take up this journey once again and have held our second meeting. We are very happy to be together again! At this meeting, we shared and learnt about the vision Don Bosco had for co operators and a little on the life of Mama Margaret, the mother of Don Bosco, and his first 'cooperator'.

The field of action is the same for the Cooperators as for the Congregation of St Francis of Sales, with which they intend to associate.
Don Bosco, Reg CC, 1876, Ch 4

Please keep this group in your prayers as they each reflect and discern their calling and vocation as Salesian Cooperators.

Visit the Salesian Cooperators GBR website to find out more about this special Salesian vocation.
