July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Staff at SJBA pass on a message of hope

The staff of St John Bosco Arts College, including Sisters from our Croxteth community, found a very entertaining way to pass on a message of hope to their school community, in a video (below) released on the Feast of St Mary Mazzarello. We hope you enjoy the video, and remember its very important message.

The school has also begun a page on its website to celebrate and thank former students who have been working in the NHS, the care sector and other key-worker roles during the crisis. Science teacher, Dan Boyle, came up with the idea, and the school used social media to reach out to past students who sent photos in response. This month's issue of the Catholic Pictorial featured the story, with Headteacher Darren Gidman expressing his pride in all students, and adding, "We are delighted to be able to share with the whole community the outstanding work of our students who have gone on to become key workers as a small way to thank them for their dedication and hard work."
