July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

SJBC's young gardeners awarded grant to keep growing

In recognition of their work to protect and improve the environment, the Young Gardeners' Club at St John Bosco College, Battersea has been awarded a grant by the Catholic charity, Million Minutes. The funding will help the club to buy more equipment and seeds ready for work to begin again when they can return to school.

Schools and their young people are still working hard during the lockdown, with work being set and done at home, and reduced numbers of staff still in school with the children of key-workers. SJBC featured the news above in the first issue of their 'Virtual Newsletter', which aims to keep the school community up to date with the great work going on, and provide helpful information, encouragement and celebration.

The online magazine showcases the work being done by students, many of whom are going beyond what has been set for them, and offers ideas for learning resources and family entertainment along with positive news, which we all need right now.

You can download the first issue on the SJBC website link below.

Thank you to all our teachers, school staff, students and families across the Province - you are all in our prayers.
