July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Good Luck, Farewell & Thank you to BOVA's Anita

Anita with former BOVA volunteer, Peter

After seven years leading Bosco Volunteer Action (BOVA), our international volunteer programme, Anita Motha is moving on.

"It has been my privilege to work with and learn from so many wonderful volunteers, Salesians and colleagues both in the UK and around the world. The best part of my job has been the many interesting conversations and experiences had with people who really aspire to make a difference in the lives of young people," she said.

We have been fortunate in benefiting from Anita's professionalism, compassion and cheerfulness during that time, and although we will miss her, we wish her every success in her new role with CAFOD.

Fr Bob Gardner SDB will now be in charge of BOVA, dealing with placement and support of volunteers. Enquiries about volunteering should be sent to the usual BOVA email address:
