July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Worth Abbey Good Shepherd Celebration 2019

On Wednesday June 19th, a group of six pupils from Year 7 were driven by minibus to represent Salesian School Chertsey at the annual Good Shepherd Celebration in Worth Abbey. Primary schools and a couple of secondary schools from all across the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton were invited to participate in a liturgy, comprising scripture, singing, music, liturgical dance and creative presentations.

The Rt. Rev. Richard Moth, Bishop of Arundel and Brighton, presided over the celebration and gave the homily. A cheque was presented on behalf of the children of the diocese to Mission Together, a project of Missio, which aims to help children through children as part of its plan of evangelisation.

After the celebration, all the children and staff had a picnic lunch on the lawn outside the abbey church. Our pupils participated fully and really enjoyed the day. Particular thanks go to Ms. C. Limpin of the RE department, without whose assistance this trip would not have been possible.
