July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Salesian School Chertsey hosts "Celebrating RE Day"

On Wednesday June 12th 2019, Salesian School Chertsey was proud to host once more the annual Celebrating RE Day. Feeder primary schools in our deanery were invited to a morning of creativity involving arts, crafts and music. Pupils and staff from all participating primary schools as well as Mrs. Hibbins-Durkin, (2nd in RE) provided activities based on a Christian theme. This year’s theme, based on Salesian School's theme of the week, 'The Advocate', allowed pupils and staff to focus on the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

After the sessions, pupils and staff were invited to attend a short liturgy in the Chapel, were a prayer of thanksgiving was offered on behalf of all by the School Chaplain. Lunch was provided by our own school canteen.

Particular thanks go to all visiting staff who lead the different activities, to our special team of fabulous Year 9 volunteers who helped the younger children all day and for Mrs. K. Hibbins-Durkin for her support and enthusiasm, without whom this event would not have been possible.
