July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Chertsey's talented students showcase creativity

Chaplain Fr Marco Villani writes about Salesian School's GCSE Design Technology and Art Exhibition this year

On Thursday July 4th 2019, the Art and Technology Departments at Salesian School Chertsey hosted an exhibition of GCSE and A-level work in the St. Patrick's Exam Hall at Guildford Road. Parents and staff were invited to an event showcasing the incredible talent that the pupils and students possess.

Canvases, technical drawings, models, mock-ups, final created designs in full working order, graphic displays and information points were all enjoyed by pupils, families and staff. Refreshments were provided by Food Technology pupils, who were generous in displaying and offering a variety of canapes and finger food created by themselves, to all who attended.

Particular thanks go to Mr R O'Keeffe, Head of Art and Mrs E Alighieri, Head of Technology and their respective departmental colleagues for hosting this phenomenal display of creativity.
