July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

We're celebrating 50 years in Scotland this August!

Save the date: Saturday 24th August 2019

To celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the Salesian Sisters arriving in Scotland, Mass will be celebrated by Bishop John Keenan to mark 50 years in Scotland for the Salesian Sisters in Scotland. Fittingly, the Mass is in the parish where the Sisters' work in Scotland began: St Fergus Church, Ferguslie Park, Paisley, on Saturday 24th August 2019, at 3pm. All of the Salesian Family is invited.

In 1969, the Parish Priest at St Fergus invited the Salesian Sisters to the area, and in August of that year, three sisters began teaching at the school, living in a council flat for the first few years. Two of them are still with us: Sr Agnes McGuinness is now in Croxteth; and Sr Elizabeth O'Donnell, who was recalled from South Africa to be one of the 'Paisley Pioneers', is in the Easterhouse community in Glasgow.

Please put the date in your diaries. We will have more information soon.
