July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Sisters host World Youth Day at Home next weekend

Panama is a bit too far for many of us, so the Salesian Sisters are providing their own World Youth Day experience at the same time as the global event, but at a more accessible location.

From 25th - 27th January, young people in Years 9-11, S3 & S4, and sixth formers will be enjoying a fun-and-faith-filled weekend at Barnston, on the Wirral peninsula near Liverpool, planned and facilitated by the Salesian Sisters' VIDES UK team.

With only a week to go, the team is busy with final preparations, and while the Wirral temperature may be a little lower than Panama, their yellow hoodies are sure to bring extra sunshine to the occasion. Staying in cosy woodland log cabins, the young people from around the UK will come together to play, to belong, to learn and celebrate, in solidarity with their peers in Panama!

For more information, see the VIDES UK website, or @WYDatHome on Facebook.
