July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Students in Battersea remember loved ones in November

Rosemary Addai-Kwateng Head of Year 7 at St John Bosco College Battersea writes about a moving assembly led by one of her groups.

One of my Year 7 form groups put together an exceptional assembly on remembering our loved ones during the month of November. Reading the names of each family member, friend and those people they have lost gave other pupils the chance to remember their loved ones and to share in the sorrow of their contemporaries.

The lyrics of the accompanying music reassured the pupils that their loved ones are in a better place and reminded them of the importance of praying for those who have passed away.

During the week, the College has held other remembrance services, and paid tribute to Battersea Old Boys who lost their lives in the wars.
