July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Salesian schools celebrate A-level results

This year's A-level results day in England and Wales fell on Don Bosco's birthday, and we're sure he was praying for young people every bit as much as their families and friends were. The Salesian schools we've heard about so far had a lot to celebrate on 16th. Pictured above are students from Battersea (top) and Farnborough (bottom).

Salesian College Farnborough reported its best ever A-level successes, with a 100% pass rate and 76% of grades awarded in the A*-B range. Students at St John Bosco College Battersea achieved over 43% of grades at A*-B, and at St John Bosco Arts College (SJBA), in Croxteth, near Liverpool, all students who applied to university gained the place of their choice following the results, and twin sisters, Olivia and Klaudia Biernacha were 'jumping for joy' after securing double distinctions in BTEC Sport and BTEC Dance respectively.

Well done to all the young people who received results, and to their teachers.
