July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Priests from UK, Ireland and Malta at Quinquennium Workshop

A three day Quinquennium Workshop was held from 23rd to 25th July, at Battersea. The course was attended by four Salesian priests ordained within the last five years: Fr Jakub from the Bootle community, Fr Kevin from the Chertsey community, Fr Arek from the Celbridge community in Ireland and Fr Kenneth from the Dingli community in Malta.

The course was led by Fr Francis Preston and focused on the sacramental dimension of the ministry of the priest Salesian, in particular, his role in the administration of the Sacraments of the Eucharist and Reconciliation.

The workshop proved to be a very positive and enriching experience. All the participants benefitted from the opportunity to exchange ideas and to learn from the experience of other members of the group.

A sincere thank you is due to Fr Tom Williams and the members of the Battersea community for the warmth of their welcome and their kind hospitality.
