July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Catenian support for students helping at Lourdes

Fr Kevin O'Donnell SDB, Sixth Form Chaplain at Salesian School Chertsey, highlights the important support the Catenians provide to young people, and offers his thanks.

On the morning of Friday 19th June, we welcomed three members of the Catenian Catholic Association to our Year 12 assembly.

The Catenians seek to help support many positive experiences for young people, especially involving caring for the sick and the marginalised. We had applied earlier for financial support for 4 of our students going to Lourdes as helpers this Summer. The Catenians have kindly given each student £75 towards the cost of the pilgrimage.

Their generosity is very much appreciated and will help to ensure that our students can afford to enjoy this wonderful experience.

The Catenians work to promote friendship and strengthen family life. They offer wonderful support to Catholic youth through a variety of efforts, including their bursary fund, which enables young Catholics to get involved in activities where they can help others and enrich their own experience.
