On International Women's Day, Br Ste Lloyd SDB shares the Battersea Salesians' tribute to the women who work at Salesian House
In Salesian House Battersea, we honour and give thanks for the ladies who rule our house. Without them we would be in a very sticky situation!
Thank you for everything you do for us!
We also say goodbye and good luck to Abi who has supported us these past few months.
In the picture left to right, are Br Joe SDB, Fr Tom SDB (Rector), Chee (house manager), Abi (temporary cover supervisor), Annalisa (chef), Judith (Librarian), Joanna (Housekeeper) and Anita (Province Animator of BOVA)
Br Ste Lloyd SDB
Women have been at the heart of the Salesian Family since its beginnings: from Mamma Margaret, the mother of Don Bosco, and St Mary Mazzarrelo who co-founded the Salesian Sisters, to our wonderful Salesian Sisters, Cooperators, volunteers, lay staff and chaplains, teachers and students in our Province and across the world. Thank you for your work, for sharing your skills and knowledge, for your dedication, your faith and your compassion. Your are loved, valued and respected.
