Adam Clark, a Year 11 student at St John Bosco College Battersea, tells us about the a shared project between SJBC and Salesian School, Chertsey, to help the street and vulnerable children of Don Bosco Ashalayam in Kolkata, India.
Today on Monday 29th January we were packing little goods like pencils, crayons etc. for kids in India. We also included toothbrushes and face flannels.
About 200 little packages were made during our lunchbreak. The atmosphere was a bit hectic but Lara in Year 10 took leadership and assigned roles to students to get on with the job. Everyone was very enthusiastic about the task.
This was for a good cause and a lot of students and a member of staff from our 6th Form were more than happy to join in on the event, as I was.

The parents, students and staff from Salesian School, Chertsey collected essential and fun items and staff from St John the Baptist in Woking donated 120 face flannels.
