July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

New 'Savio 100' scheme launched to support Savio House!

Fr Martin Coyle, Rector of Savio House, our youth retreat centre in Bollington, Cheshire, writes about an exciting new scheme to support its valuable work with the young, and invites YOU to help by becoming one of the Savio 100!

The Feast of Don Bosco is always a special day in every Salesian House and this year at Savio House we were blessed to have 2 groups of young people overlapping on retreat.

It was also a special day because it saw the launch of Savio 100, a fundraising initiative which aims at gaining additional financial support for the Salesian Mission at Savio House. Despite a large annual subsidy from the Salesian Province, our rising costs mean that we need to look for other forms of support and funding to continue to provide the unique Savio retreat experience to young people at an affordable cost to them.

Savio 100 asks donors to giving commit £100 per year to maintain and develop our mission to young people, either as an annual payment or 10 payments of £10 per month by bank transfer.

If any readers would like to support this valuable mission to young people by being one of the Savio 100, please contact Savio House for an information leaflet and form, stating your name and address, either by phone 01625 573256 / 575405 or by email: saviooffice@salesians.org.uk or mcoylesdb@gmail.com

Thank you!
