July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Remembrance Day tribute by Chertsey students

Art Club members from Salesian School Chertsey, and their teacher, created a beautiful tribute for Remembrance Day. Sixth Form Chaplain Fr Kevin O'Donnel SDB describes what they did.

As part of our November remembrance of those who have suffered and died in war, Mrs Baker and the Art club at Salesian School in Chertsey created a large art instillation of poppies made from the bottom of plastic bottles painted red and mounted on green meshing.

The finished piece falls over the whole 2 storey height of the main building. It makes a stunning focal point for our prayers.
