July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Red Wednesday Mass at SJBC Battersea

Fr Andrew Ebrahim SDB writes about St John Bosco College Battersea's first celebration of Red Wednesday, the event organised by Aid to the Church In Need to highlight he plight of people persecuted for their faith.

We began Red Wednesday at school by celebrating Mass for persecuted Christians, with a couple of Year 9 classes. Each pupil chose a specific Christian who they were going to attend Mass for and they placed details of their persecuted Christian by the altar during the offertory hymn.

Red ribbons were tied on pupils' and teachers' wrists whilst the SDBs donned red collars!
