On Tuesday October 17th, Salesian School Chertsey, Salesian College Farnborough and other schools near and far brought about 60 students to the first of three CAFOD Youth Leadership Training Days. This programme aims to inspire, motivate and equip young people to engage with issues of social justice by nurturing their leadership skills, helping their voice to be heard.
Linked with CAFOD's latest campaign "Power To Be", students were informed about this campaign's drive to press the World Bank to support renewable energy, allowing some of the world's poorest people to transform their lives through cheap and accessible electricity.
The second Training Day will take place in Farnborough Hill independent girls' school in Hampshire.
