Fr Kevin O'Donnell SDB celebrated his first Mass recently, after his ordination at East Kilbride on 17th June.

Fr Kevin said,  "It was a very special and moving experience to celebrate my first Masses in the Salesian parish of The Sacred Heart where I had just served for nearly a year as a Deacon. This was made more poignant as it was also the parish celebration of the feast of the Sacred Heart. There was a real sense of happiness that 'one of their own' had been ordained. The day's celebrations finished with a barbeque and drinks in the playground of Don Bosco College nearby. Thank you to everyone who made the day such a cherished memory. A special thanks to Deacon Michael Kennedy, a wonderful servant of the parish, who was at my side at both masses and throughout the past year."
