The Ascension of the Lord

The bodily ascension of Jesus forty days after he rose from the dead, is a reminder of the eternal life he promised us, and this feast of great hope is important to all Christians.
Traditionally, the feast was celebrated on a Thursday, and the Catholic Church in Scotland and in many other countries still follow the tradition. In England and Wales, however, it is now observed on the following Sunday.
Happy feast!
