A team of students and staff from Thornleigh Salesian College ran 10k in the recent Great Manchester Run to raise funds for Tanzania.
The College's Tanzania Project takes a group of students every other year to spend a month in Moshi, where they volunteer in schools and clinics. Students spend the previous year raising funds which will be used to buy materials and equipment to take to the schools which are part of our Salesian community in Africa.
Fundraising activities so far have included the famous Old School Disco, a Vegas Night with Elvis himself, a bag pack at the local Asda, and the College was also fortunate in being selected as one of three charities to benefit from Asda's new "Green Token Scheme".
