Don Bosco Day Celebrations in 2012

Posted: Sun, 5 Feb 2012 11:59

For a few years now, I'm not sure how many, Salesians from all over the UK have come up to Manchester to celebrate the feast of Don Bosco. And this year was no different. A mix of Salesians ranging from the far and wide of the British Isles, invaded the ever prepared, Hidden Gem in Manchester. Less people were able to make it to the celebrations but the Salesian Spirit was still alive and strong with all that came, despite the cold temperatures. The celebrations began in the Hidden Gem with Mass with the usual congregation that would be turning up for Mass on a Saturday lunchtime and got involved with enthusiasm. After the service, people were prevented from leaving the Church until the annual photo of the Salesians was taken. Following the photo, there was time to be social and talk about what we had all been up to and what we will be doing in the months ahead.
