July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Christmas in Jerusalem

This Christmas, Fr Andrew Ebrahim from our Chertsey community was in Bethlehem as chaplain to a small group of pilgrims. He visited the Ratisbonne, the Salesian Theological College in Jerusalem, where he met several other Salesians who are well known to the Great Britain Province.

The photos shows (from left to right) Br Jim Zettel of the SUE Province who made his novitiate in Farnborough with Deacon Marco Villani five years ago, Fr Roberto Spataro the Dean of Studies who has spent some time in years past in both Chertsey and Farnborough brushing up his English, Fr Andrew Ebrahim, Fr Francis Preston (looking rather weary and in need of a holiday after a long semester!) and Br Dariusz Mencel who completed two years at Farnborough before travelling to Jerusalem in September.

Fr Francis Preston, who is Rector at the Ratisbonne, tells us that in Jerusalem there are blue skies, bright sunshine and unseasonably warm temperatures for the time of the year! Not a snowflake in sight!
