Salesian Sisters Celebrate

On the evening of Wednesday August 4th the Salesian Sisters (FMA), gathered for their Retreat in Brettargh Holt near Kendal, celebrated with the jubilarians: Sr Margaret Renshaw who wonderfully marked 70 years of profession, Sr Leah Bannon (now living in Italy) on her golden jubilee and Sr Carmen Vella, member of the Community in Battersea, celebrating her 40 years.

The following morning Sr Anne Frances McNamee made her first profession as a Salesian Sister. Many Sisters, relatives and friends gathered for the Mass, celebrated by Fr Michael Winstanley, Salesian Provincial. Anne Frances completed her Novitiate in Rome and is delighted to be back on home ground. In September she will take up a teaching post in Our Lady's school in Cowley.
