July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Student Voice

In October 2010, student representatives from Salesian College Battersea, Salesian School Farnborough, Savio Salesian College Bootle and St John Bosco Arts College Croxteth met at Savio House Bollington for the sixth Salesian Student Leadership Gathering. Ms Kendall from St John Bosco, Ms Adams from Bootle, Mr Moore from Farnborough and Mr Regan and Mr Georgiou from Battersea were also in attendance.

The focus of the weekend was to revisit the Salesian Student Charter, first formulated in 2007. The students have redrafted the Charter and it is currently being published and will be available by December. As always, the students participated superbly and were a credit to their respective schools. Kevin Regan and Fr Jim Gallagher are delighted that these student leadership gatherings, which began in 2007, are now firmly embedded in the Salesian School Calendars.
