About 60 people gathered for a memorial Mass for Brother John O'Kane RIP on Saturday 21st February in St Benedict's Church, Easterhouse, Glasgow.

John's sister Ella and sister-in-law Ellen attended, with many family members. Fr Jim McGarry, Rector, was principal celebrant, with Fr Charles Garrick, Fr Michael O'Meara and Fr Gerry Briody (Bootle) concelebrating.

Terry Devine, John Bergin, Tommy Walker and Mick Crossan were there as Shrigley Past Pupils. Michael McBride and Sean Fallon (former Celtic coach), both longstanding friends of John, were also in attendance.
