July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

World Post for British Past Pupil

Peter Hunter has been appointed as the new Councillor of the Presidency of the World Confederation of Salesian Past Pupils taking the place of Basilio Munoz. He is the first ever representative from Britain.

Peter (left) with the Rector Major, Fr Pascual Chavez Peter, who is now 38 years old, is a Shrigley Past Pupil and a member of the Council of our National Federation of Past Pupils. For many years he was the British representative on Eurogex (the European youth part of the Past Pupils Confederation). In 2002 he embarked on a round the world trip, at his own expense, visiting Salesian works and promoting the Past Pupils. He met his wife at a Eurobosco conference, where she was a representative from Poland. His lively participation in these events has been recognised in this appointment.

Many congratulations to Peter on this well-deserved honour.
