July is month of festivals, fun and (hopefully) sun. Just in case it rains, you can keep the young people in your life occupied by taking a look at our selection of children's books, including some activity books. Or treat yourself to a good read while relaxing in the sun.

Benefactors' Mass

Benefactors' Mass - 27th November 2005

For the third year running now, Blaisdon Past Pupils, who were also Past Pupils of the Crusade of Rescue Homes were invited to this annual Mass for the Benefactors of the Catholic Children's Society (Westminster) held on Sunday 27 November 2005.

The Crusade of Rescue, jointly with the Salesians, purchased Blaisdon Hall as a place to further the development of young Boys in their care. For Years it was the Crusade of Rescue that provided the great majority of the young people placed into the care of the Salesians at Blaisdon Hall.

The Mass was in the magnificent Immaculate Conception Church in the Jesuit Farm Street Parish Church where Bishop Bernard Longley was the main Celebrant. The Bishop praised the work of Benefactors current and past. It is creditable that some of the Blaisdon Past Pupils are now themselves Benefactors.

A selection of photos includes a group of Blaisdon Salesian Past Pupils. The Mass sheet picture has the very appropriate slogan "Where's the JUSTICE"
